Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage all logistics operations, including inbound raw materials, inter-plant transfers, and outbound distribution of finished products.
- Coordinate with procurement, production planning, and sales teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules and customer delivery requirements.
- Oversee warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and stock control to minimize excess inventory and stockouts.
- Select and manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight carriers, and transportation partners; negotiate rates and contracts.
- Monitor transportation costs, lead times, and carrier performance; implement improvements to reduce costs and enhance reliability.
- Ensure compliance with customs, import/export regulations, and safety standards (where applicable).
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to on-time delivery, freight cost per unit, inventory turns, and logistics efficiency.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the logistics team (warehouse supervisors, coordinators, planners, etc.).
- Identify and implement process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies in the supply chain.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of logistics / supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven knowledge of transportation modes, warehousing best practices, and inventory management systems.
- Experience with ERP systems and logistics software/tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication in English, French, and Arabic
- Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
