Job Description

The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facilities daily.

Essential Functions/Skills

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal and written communication skills; ability to process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to perform precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some areas. Sudden changes in temperature; fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data; make judgments and decisions.

Physical Demands

  • Standing:
    Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Walking on varied surfaces. Height of work surfaces 36–48 inches.
  • Walking:
    Short distances for short durations.
  • Sitting:
    Paperwork at a desk or table.
  • Lifting:
    Deliveries may weigh up to 50 pounds; cases lifted from floor to shelves up to 72 inches high.
  • Carrying:
    Pans, containers, and supplies as needed; some items up to 30 pounds.
  • Pushing/Pulling:
    Moving trays/dollies with force as required.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Bending/Crouching/ reaching:
    Occasional tasks such as adjusting prices, stocking shelves, or reaching high shelves.

Additional Information (Driver/Store Management)

Job Duties:

Deliver product by car and then to door of customer; deliver flyers and door hangers.

Essential Skills

  • Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Physical Demands (Delivery)

  • Carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing duties.
  • Driving:
    Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area. May make several deliveries per shift.
  • Walking:
    Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the vehicle to the customer’s location.
  • Climbing:
    Navigation of multiple flights of stairs may be required during delivery.

Work Conditions (Delivery)

Exposure to varying weather conditions when delivering and driving. Sensing:
Far and night vision for driving.
