Electro Heat Engineers is a 40-year-old SME manufacturer of industrial heating solutions, based in Manesar, Gurgaon. Our Hot-Temp range of heaters is the largest selling heater brand in India, with installations across 5,000+ corrugated box makers and all major corrugation machine manufacturers. We make heating elements, control panels, and industrial heating systems.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on, shop-floor role. You will work directly under the Production Head and be responsible for day-to-day production tracking, technical support, quality checks, and coordination with the store and dispatch teams.
This role requires someone who takes initiative, is comfortable working on the shop floor, and can independently handle technical tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production
• Monitor daily production progress across all three production divisions
• Assign and coordinate work among shop-floor workers based on skill and workload
• Prepare daily production reports for management
• Coordinate with the store team for raw material availability
• Coordinate with dispatch for movement of finished goods
Technical
• Read and interpret production drawings
• Create basic drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Perform technical calculations for heating elements, panels, and assemblies
• Provide hands-on support for fabrication, welding, and assembly work
• Help troubleshoot technical problems on the shop floor
Quality
• Carry out quality checks at key stages during production
• Maintain records of rejections and follow up on root causes
• Maintain quality checklists and inspection records
Team & Administration
• Help identify training needs and assist in on-the-job training for workers
• Coordinate with maintenance vendors for machine breakdowns and routine upkeep
• Assist in hiring shop-floor workers — interview candidates and assess their practical skills
REQUIREMENTS
Education
• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience
• Minimum 10 years in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
• Hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, and assembly
• Experience in heating systems or similar industries is a plus
• Prior experience leading or supervising a shop-floor team
Technical Skills
• AutoCAD — must be able to read and create drawings
• Fabrication and assembly knowledge
• Ability to perform engineering calculations
• Basic computer skills — Excel for tracking and reporting
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles
Other
• Fluent in Hindi (required — working language on the shop floor)
• Basic English for written reports and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
