Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Integration Manager, this person will design, specify, engineer, draft, and oversee installations of integrated audiovisual systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engineer complex A/V systems.
- Draft system flow drawings to AVISPL standards using AutoCAD.
- Verify interoperability of all components for a complete working system.
- Create block diagrams, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, reflected floor plans, etc.
- Create architectural drawings, conduit riser diagrams and wire pull schedules.
- Identify Value Engineering opportunities to increase efficiency and save cost.
- Provide coordination with other trades, as necessary
- Positive and effective interaction with internal and external customers.
- Responsible for developing wall plates and overlays.
- Perform on-going engineering support, as needed.
- Perform field and shop support and troubleshooting, as needed.
- Perform control system configuration and programming, as needed.
- Assist other departments with technical support issues.
- Develop custom operation manuals as needed.
- Maintain minimal 85% of reported/coded time to specific jobs.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Coordinate shop and field testing of integrated systems
- Responsible for job documentation, as needed.
