Position Summary
Oil-Dri Corporation of America is seeking a CDL Spot Truck Driver / Forklift Operator to support shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory activities within our manufacturing operation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately, inventory is maintained properly, and materials move safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate enjoys operating equipment, working in a fast-paced environment, and taking ownership of safety, quality, and customer service. This role offers the opportunity to work across shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.

Primary Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and spot trucks to move materials throughout the facility
- Load outbound shipments accurately and efficiently
- Review bills of lading and shipping documentation to ensure customer orders are fulfilled correctly
- Receive inbound materials and verify accuracy against receiving documents
- Manage warehouse inventory and outside storage areas
- Maintain accurate inventory records and properly label products and materials
- Perform inventory transactions using warehouse management and ERP systems
- Stack, restack, and organize products as needed
- Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections and monitor equipment performance during operation
- Support inventory counts and warehouse organization activities
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Assist with shipping, receiving, warehouse, and logistics projects as assigned
Candidate Profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CDL required
- Forklift operating experience preferred
- Ability to read and accurately interpret shipping documents and bills of lading
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Basic computer skills with willingness to learn business systems and warehouse technologies
Preferred Experience
- Manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience
- Forklift certification or extensive forklift experience
- Shipping and receiving operations
- Inventory control and warehouse management
- Experience with ERP, RF scanning, or warehouse management systems
- Tractor-trailer, yard truck, or spot truck experience
