Oversee the operation and maintenance of a dynamic marine engineering department. As a Chief Engineer, ensure efficient machinery management and emergency response onboard a multi-purpose vessel.
This senior role involves managing the engine room and auxiliary systems efficiently. You’ll establish engine room procedures and assign tasks within the technical team while maintaining essential supplies and addressing safety. The role requires a deep understanding of marine engineering principles and effective teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage maintenance and safe operation of machinery
• Establish and enforce engine room procedures
• Assign jobs to engineering/technical department
• Maintain essential engine-related stores and bunkers
• Conduct daily plant and machinery management
Requirements:
• Minimum DD-4000 Chief endorsement required
• Valid U.S. Passport and USCG Medical Certificate
• Valid TWIC Card is mandatory
• Ability to pass a physical and written exam
Lead the marine engineering team, ensuring operational excellence and safety across all technical functions.
