Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Durham for a Class 1 Low Loader Driver. The responsibilities include delivering and collecting a variety of plant machinery across different locations using low loaders. The role requires adherence to safety standards, maintaining accurate delivery and collection records, and inspecting equipment to ensure it’s in proper working condition before transport. The driver should also communicate effectively with the depot team to meet customer needs and provide excellent service.
Qualifications
- Class 1 Driver's license with valid CPC certification and a Digital Tachograph card
- Experience in driving low loaders and handling plant machinery
- Understanding of highway codes, haulage regulations, and safety protocols
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to perform routine vehicle and equipment checks
- Experience in plant hire or construction industries is an advantage
