Are you a Class 1 Trunker Driver at the top of your game? Working alongside the Distribution Teams, you’ll drive in one of the most professional fleets in the country with state‑of‑the‑art telematics, sat nav and tracking systems. Our teams are dedicated to ensuring our depots and hubs are ready to deliver great quality and freshness to millions of people every day.
To join the Warburtons family, you’ll need a LGV Cat C+E driving licence with no more than 6 points, good knowledge of transport legislation and tachographs, and be reliable, responsible and used to working in a trunking role.
Responsibilities
- Supported with induction, in-house driver training teams, SAFED and ongoing CPC. Driver CPC training is conducted during work hours.
- Work set contracted hours on a night rota, allowing better work‑life planning.
- Apply basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical knowledge to relay faults on defect forms; knowledge of transport legislation, Driver Hours, WTD and the Highway Code.
- Assist in loading and unloading of the trailer, complying with Health and Safety, quality, food safety and accident reporting procedures to achieve an accident‑free workplace.
- Deliver to our depots and customer RDCs, providing quality service, building strong relationships and handling confrontation calmly, acting as an ambassador for our brand.
