A Company Driver safely operates company vehicles to transport personnel, goods, or documents, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Key responsibilities include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, performing routine maintenance checks, planning efficient routes, and keeping accurate logs of mileage and fuel. A valid driver’s license and clean record are required along with a Police Record Certificate.
Core Responsibilities
- Safe Transportation: Drive merchandise, staff, clients, or materials to designated locations securely and efficiently.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily inspections (tires, lights, brakes, fluids) and ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.
- Logistics & Scheduling: Plan routes, utilize GPS, and adhere to schedules for pickups and deliveries.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate, up-to-date vehicle logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and trip details.
- Reporting: Promptly report any accidents, vehicle damage, or maintenance needs to management.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all local traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid professional driver's license.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Proven experience as a company driver or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation tools.
- Basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.
- Good physical health for lifting luggage or cargo.
