Duties And Responsibilities
Delivery
- Transport clients, employees and/or packages to and from destinations
- Ensure completeness of documents and items to be submitted to customers.
- Ensure the safety and completeness of goods during transit
- Deliver goods to customers on time
- Assisting with the loading and offloading of products and materials.
- Handle customer questions and concerns with courtesy.
Transport
- Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays
- Be mindful of the drivers licence expiry date, so as not to violate any regulations.
- Report any incidents, accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
- Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
Vehicle Maintenance
- Maintain vehicles cleanliness as well as operational status of vehicles so as to prevent breakdowns affecting the daily operations of the company.
- Inspect the vehicle before delivery, ensuring that the vehicle is free from defects.
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
- Request for vehicle repairs as needed
Reports
- Complete the tasks assigned by the immediate head and / or team leader.
- Return and submit all receipts to Logistics Manager.
- Provide accurate time records of the company vehicles coming and goings.
- Fulfill administrative needs such as updating itinerary forms and completing of delivery documents
Others
- Assist in collection from various clients and customers.
- Accept payments for delivered items
- Additional tasks that may be assigned by immediate head.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of driving and good sense of direction.
- Knowledge of simple accounting
- Troubleshooting vehicles minor problems
- A valid drivers license and at least one year of driving experience to perform the job safely
- Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual
- Be adaptable within a fast-paced, changing work environment
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work shifts as needed
