Role Description
This full-time on-site role as a Dispatcher is based in Atlanta, GA. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, scheduling drivers, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely deliveries. Additional responsibilities include addressing driver and customer inquiries, monitoring shipment statuses, and resolving challenges to maintain efficient operations. The Dispatcher will play a key role in collaborating with internal teams and providing excellent customer support to ensure all logistical requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to effectively manage driver schedules and optimize transportation routes
- Proficiency in communication and customer service skills for responding to inquiries and resolving issues
- Familiarity with logistics operations, shipment tracking, and basic dispatch software
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Previous logistics or dispatch experience is an advantage
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or a related field is a plus
