Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and efficient transportation services for company staff, executives, clients, and materials. The role also involves ensuring the assigned vehicle is properly maintained, roadworthy, and compliant with all traffic regulations while upholding the company's professional image.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport company staff, executives, and visitors to designated locations.
- Ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off for official assignments.
- Drive in compliance with all road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Monitor fuel levels and arrange timely refueling.
- Ensure regular servicing, repairs, and maintenance of the vehicle.
- Promptly report accidents, mechanical faults, or vehicle damage to Management.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, servicing, and trips.
- Assist with the delivery and collection of official documents and parcels when required.
- Ensure all vehicle documents (insurance, licence, registration, roadworthiness certificate, etc.) remain valid and up to date.
- Plan routes efficiently to minimize travel time and fuel consumption.
- Observe confidentiality regarding company operations and executive movements.
- Support other administrative and logistics duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC. A diploma or higher qualification is an added advantage.
- Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence.
- Minimum of three (3) years' professional driving experience.
- Good knowledge of Abuja road networks and surrounding areas.
- Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic offences.
