Role Profile: Driver
Overall Role Purpose:
Follow organization’s standard procedures and drive with route courier while pickup and delivery arrangement of shipment.
Main Accountabilities:
- Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work safety procedures
- Movement of vehicles, whilst complying with road traffic regulations and company policies and procedures
- Inform Supervisors and Team Leaders on all vehicle related issues
- Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times
- Ensure vehicle is kept secure at all times
- Ensure vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks: check oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres, etc.
- Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of allocated vehicle
People Management:
- This role has no direct reports or personnel authority. Nevertheless h/she can influence others to enable improvement and change within the organization
Requirements for the Job:
- Key Skills & Requirements:
- Valid driving license
- Good driving skills
- Smart appearance
- Defensive driving
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- Knowledge of relevant Road Traffic Regulations
- Ability to use / complete paperwork as required
- Ability to effectively plan own work
- Experience:
- 3/4 years driving experience preferably in office environment
- Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum Class Eight (08) passed
