Role Description The Driver Cum MEP Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for both transportation and basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) tasks. Day-to-day activities include safely operating company trucks to transport tools, materials, and personnel to various job sites, following all road safety regulations and company procedures. The role also involves assisting with routine MEP maintenance, minor repairs, and installations under the guidance of senior technicians, ensuring work is completed to company standards. The individual will complete daily vehicle checks, keep accurate logs of trips and work performed, and maintain a clean, organized vehicle and work area. Regular interaction with clients and colleagues is expected, requiring clear communication, professional conduct, and a strong focus on service quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong truck driving skills, including safe operation of commercial vehicles and familiarity with basic truck maintenance.
- Candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A (or equivalent UAE heavy vehicle license) and a clean driving record.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting work progress.
- Candidates should possess customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and represent the company positively.
- Candidates should possess foundational mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) knowledge, with experience in building maintenance preferred.
- Candidates should possess the ability to read basic work orders and safety instructions and follow standard operating procedures.
- Candidates should possess a strong focus on safety, reliability, time management, and working in diverse indoor and outdoor environments.
- Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in MEP or building maintenance are an advantage.
