Job Summary
Operate an HGV for waste collection, ensuring clean communities. Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and supervisors, prioritise health and safety, and assist loaders as required.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV and collect refuse/recycling from requested locations following a set route, and dispose at appropriate sites.
- Carry out vehicle inspections, ensure compliance with company policy and legislative requirements, and complete relevant paperwork.
- Receive instructions from supervisors, communicate with crew members, and comply with health and safety requirements.
- Maintain positive relationships with the public, customers, and client representatives by handling complaints and queries courteously.
- Assist with loading duties as required.
Qualifications
- Full Category C driving licence.
- Basic literacy skills.
- Team player with a positive approach aligned with company values.
- Customer‑care experience to drive results.
