The SOCC Duty Officer is responsible for supervising operational staff while interacting with various departments. Reporting directly to the Director, this role involves motivating team members and ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols. Critical tasks include managing flight schedules, engaging with airport authorities, and addressing any issues impacting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise SOCC staff and foster engagement
• Manage the assignment of flights and operational logistics
• Coordinate communication on delays and aircraft swaps
• Analyze meteorological data for flight planning
• Lead emergency coordination as necessary
Requirements:
• Minimum of two years in airline operations or as Dispatcher
• Supervisory experience is an asset
• Understanding of CARs 705 regulations
• Must possess Restricted Radio Telephone Operators Certificate
• Strong ability to handle multiple priorities
