FEDEX GROUND CDL-A COVER TEAM DRIVER
Indianapolis, IN | $1,520-$2,400 Weekly Per Driver | $69 Daily Per Diem
A premier FedEx Ground contractor is hiring experienced CDL-A team drivers for a high-mileage cover-team position based in Indiana. Cover teams rotate among dedicated FedEx Ground lanes to keep freight moving when regular teams are unavailable. This role is designed for flexible teams who want strong mileage, new sleeper equipment, and a comprehensive benefits package.
PAY AND MILES
- $1,520-$2,400 gross weekly per driver
- $0.80 CPM team rate
- $69 per day per diem
- Approximately 3,800-6,400 team miles per week
- Paid weekly by direct deposit
- Actual earnings vary with dispatched miles and route coverage
SCHEDULE AND HOME TIME
- Flexible rotating cover-team schedule
- Typically 4-6 days per week
- Assignments vary among dedicated FedEx Ground team lanes
- Consistent year-round freight
- Applicants must be comfortable with changing lanes and dispatch times

REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class A CDL
- Doubles/Triples endorsement
- At least one year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last three years
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Must meet FedEx Ground qualification standards
- Established teams strongly preferred
- Flexibility to cover multiple lanes and schedules
