Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving HGV 15 – 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment
- Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
- Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft
- Liaison with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle
- Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By‑laws
- Additional duties such as Bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork.
Requirements of the HGV Driver
- Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)
- Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
- Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job‑related training, you will develop your skills in teamwork, time management, multi‑tasking, communication and attention to detail.
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history. For any time spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.
