Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Logistics Coordinator role based in Sherwood Park, AB. The Logistics Coordinator will plan, schedule, and track shipments across Canada and cross-border, ensuring loads are dispatched efficiently and on time. Responsibilities include communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to confirm load details, resolve issues, and maintain accurate documentation. The role involves coordinating equipment availability, monitoring route progress, updating transportation management systems, and managing any delays or changes.

The Logistics Coordinator will also support compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards while contributing to continuous improvement in logistics processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills to plan routes, optimize loads, and interpret transportation and performance data.
  • Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to coordinate with drivers, partners, and customers and manage expectations professionally.
  • Experience or familiarity with Inventory Management and Supply Chain Management to support efficient freight flow and resource allocation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics or trucking environment with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with dispatch or transportation management software, and solid computer skills (e.g., MS Office, email, digital documentation).
  • Knowledge of Canadian and cross-border transportation regulations and documentation is an asset.
  • Previous experience in trucking, logistics, or freight coordination is preferred.
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an asset.
