Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • May be required to load/unload U.S. mail from/into airline containers
  • May be required to load/unload trucks
  • May be required to push/pull USPS rolling stock equipment with and without (empty) U.S. Mail
  • May be required to push full/empty airline containers on ball decking
  • May be required to load/unload full or empty airline equipment from company transport dollies
  • May be required to scan mail into/out of airline containers
  • May be required to weigh airline containers utilizing company ball decking and scales
  • May be required to validate the serviceability of airline containers based on airline requirements
  • May be required to operate ground support equipment including but not limited to trucks and tugs
  • May be assigned administrative duties by the supervisor which includes equipment checks/reports

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent (a plus).
  • Must pass a drug test/background check and be able to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Must meet certain requirements mandated by the United States Postal Service, including but not limited to:
    • Have a verifiable 5‑year work history (unemployed periods may be accounted for).
    • Have a verifiable 5‑year residence in the United States (or any of its territories).
    • No pending or current felonies less than 10 years old; some charges may disqualify regardless of length.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, pull, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work in a warehouse environment.

  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends or irregular shifts.
