The Mobile Home Transporter role with Niemann Construction is essential to launching and building the company’s mobile home transportation and installation operations. This individual will help establish the standards, procedures, and work ethic that will shape the future transportation team.
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and highly motivated individual who takes ownership of their work. The ideal candidate communicates quickly and clearly, follows through on commitments, solves problems independently, remains calm under pressure, and is willing to do what is necessary to complete each project safely and efficiently.
Key performance indicators include, but are not limited to: (1) safely transporting mobile homes in compliance with all DOT, CDL, permitting, and company requirements, (2) completing mobile home setup and installation work accurately and efficiently, including blocking, leveling, anchoring, utility coordination, skirting, decks, and other site-related work, (3) properly inspecting, maintaining, and documenting the condition of company trucks, trailers, equipment, and transported homes, and (4) providing timely and accurate communication regarding project status, delays, equipment issues, and additional work needed.
This position requires a valid CDL, a strong understanding of commercial vehicle safety, and the ability to operate specialized mobile home transportation equipment. Experience transporting, setting, or installing manufactured homes is strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be a quick learner who can develop competence with company equipment, procedures, and expectations—achieving 50% competence within 30 days, 70% competence within 60 days, and 90% competence within 90 days.
Because this is a new and growing company, the position requires someone who is adaptable, resourceful, accountable, and comfortable working without constant supervision. The ideal candidate will identify problems, recommend solutions, help develop efficient processes, and contribute to building a professional and reliable transportation division.
This is a physically demanding position that requires flexibility, endurance, and a strong work ethic. Candidates must be prepared for long workdays, early mornings, overnight travel, changing schedules, and occasional weekends based on project and transportation needs. The role may involve heavy lifting, outdoor work in varying weather conditions, extended periods of driving, and assisting with all aspects of transporting, setting, and installing mobile homes.
In addition, this role demands excellent attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, good judgment, and consistent follow-through. The individual must communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, residents, vendors, utility providers, and regulatory authorities. Above all, we are looking for a team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work, treats company equipment responsibly, prioritizes safety, and is committed to helping Niemann Construction build a successful mobile home transportation operation.
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
