The City of North Vancouver is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner for a temporary full-time position. This role will lead vital transportation initiatives and mentor the next generation of planners.
As part of the Transportation Planning and Design team, you will spearhead the Transportation Network Plan and implement innovative data strategies.
Your role involves conducting multi-modal studies and providing impactful policy guidance for infrastructure. Collaborate with professionals to develop business cases for future transportation investments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Transportation Network Plan development
• Oversee neighborhood and corridor studies
• Advise on infrastructure design and access strategies
• Draft business cases for transportation projects
• Support and mentor junior planning staff
Requirements:
• University and post-graduate degree in relevant fields
• Experienced in strategic transportation planning
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
• Must attend evening Council and public meetings
