Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and selfmotivated Part-Time Parts Driver to support the daily operations of our Parts Department. This role is responsible for transporting parts—often including tires—between buildings using a company-owned small truck, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to internal teams. The Parts Driver plays an important role in maintaining efficient workflow, supporting technician productivity, and contributing to a smooth operational process across the dealership.
This position requires comfort operating a small truck, the ability to lift items up to 40 lbs, and adherence to safety and company standards. Ideal candidates are at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check. Many team members have advanced within our Parts Department from this role, as it provides exposure to multiple facets of our operation and serves as a strong foundation for career growth.
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday – Thursday, 4pm-8pm and Saturdays 8am-4pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport parts, including tires, between dealership buildings using a companyowned small truck
- Ensure accurate, timely delivery of parts to internal departments to support workflow and technician productivity
- Handle, load, and unload parts safely, following proper lifting techniques and company safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle
- Communicate effectively with Parts Department staff to confirm delivery needs and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with organizing and staging parts as needed to support department operations
- Follow all dealership policies, traffic rules, and safety procedures while operating the vehicle
- Represent the Parts Department professionally through reliable performance and positive interactions with team members
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Previous Automotive Dealership experience working Parts Driver (preferred)
- Previous experience working in fast-paced work environment (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs (required)
Work Environment:
- The Parts Driver works in a fastpaced dealership environment that involves frequent movement between buildings
- Regular interaction with Parts Department staff, technicians, and other team members.
- The role includes working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while loading, unloading, and transporting parts.
- Driving a companyowned small truck is a routine part of the job, along with periods of standing, walking, and lifting items
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $16.00 -$18 an hour
