Role Description This full-time, on-site Professional Movers & Drivers role is based in Rockville, MD. Team members are responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading household and commercial goods, ensuring items are protected and handled with care. Daily tasks include driving company vehicles, following assigned routes and schedules, using moving equipment, and maintaining clean, organized trucks and workspaces. Movers and drivers interact with customers on-site, provide courteous support, follow safety protocols, and work collaboratively with the crew to complete moves efficiently and on time. The role may involve varying hours, including weekends and peak seasons, and requires the ability to perform consistent physical work.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong physical abilities (lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy items), stamina, and safe handling techniques.
- Candidates should possess safe driving skills, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations.
- Candidates should possess effective customer service and communication skills, with a professional and respectful approach to clients and teammates.
- Candidates should possess basic problem-solving and organizational skills, including the ability to plan loading, manage time, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Experience in moving, logistics, warehousing, or related fields is beneficial; prior use of moving equipment (dollies, straps, pads) is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed, and to maintain punctuality and reliability.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; willingness to complete company training and follow safety and operational procedures is required.
