Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to job sites (home owner and commercial). This role has a focus on customer relationships, providing great service with a positive attitude to ensure customers receive high-level delivery and product from Amrize. This is a customer‑facing role that requires a service‑oriented mindset and a professional approach.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Maintain equipment by doing daily pre and post trip inspections, keep equipment clean inside and out.
- Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography.
- Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service through delivery.
- Coordinate around Fort McMurray and surrounding areas to maintain on‑time deliveries.
- Maintain strong working relationships with logistics and operations teams and fellow operators.
- Have a flexible schedule, including availability on most weekends.
- Understand traffic rules and regulations in a commercial vehicle.
- Participate in the Amrize Ready Mix Training Program.
- Commit to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies.
What We’re Looking For
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required
Work Experience:
At least 5 years of experience driving trucks;
Ready Mix Driver experience preferred but not required.
Required Training/
Certifications:
Must have a Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1 driver’s license. Driver’s abstract is required with application submission.
Additional Requirements
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- No site ban in effect.
- Relationship‑building with external customers and internal Amrize personnel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong sense of teamwork.
- Able to lift >50lbs.
- Must be able to work on industrial oil sands sites in RMWB.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved PPE.
