Role Description The Route Delivery Driver role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kansas City, MO. This role is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering ice products to businesses, restaurants, and event locations according to scheduled routes. Day-to-day tasks include operating delivery vehicles and related equipment, verifying orders, collecting delivery confirmations, and maintaining accurate delivery records. The driver will interact directly with customers, provide courteous service, assist with product placement, and report any service or product issues to supervisors. The role also involves basic vehicle and equipment checks, adherence to safety procedures, and support with warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and build positive relationships.
- Experience or aptitude in Forklift Operation and safe handling of palletized or bulk products.
- Ability to support Training activities, including learning standard operating procedures and assisting new team members.
- Basic Sales and Food & Beverage knowledge to understand customer needs and promote appropriate products or services.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate delivery vehicles safely.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving, and stacking products in varying weather conditions.
- Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail in following routes, schedules, and documentation requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior route delivery or distribution experience is beneficial.
