Full Job Description Hill McGlynn is currently recruiting on behalf of a growing construction and property services client. Due to continued expansion and an increasing workload, they are looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking Driver and Waste Controller to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physically fit individual with site experience to join a professional team working across various projects, with opportunities for overtime and career progression.
The Role
As a Driver and Waste Controller, you will be responsible for transporting materials and waste between sites, as well as supporting site operations with manual handling and clearance duties. You will play a key role in maintaining site efficiency and cleanliness while representing the company in a professional, client-facing capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a white tipper vehicle (minibus-sized) to and from sites
- Collecting, loading, and transporting rubble and waste materials
- Delivering and collecting stock as required
- Carrying out void clearances and site clean-ups
- Ensuring waste is disposed of safely and in line with regulations
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Interacting professionally with clients and site teams
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Valid, clean UK driving licence
- CSCS card (essential)
- Previous site experience (preferred)
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Flexible and willing to work overtime when required
- Presentable and professional (client-facing role)
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team
What's On Offer
- £16.50 per hour
- 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Overtime available, with some hours paid at enhanced rates (up to 1.5x)
