Role Overview
With safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service as top priorities, the Shipping Coordinator plays a critical role within the ISE team. Using your knowledge of import and export freight, you will ensure the safe and timely shipment of products and materials. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to obtain freight estimates and execute customer shipment plans, with a strong focus on cost control, scheduling, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
You will act as a key point of contact for clients, managing shipment orders, tracking requests, and returns. The role requires ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete to enable seamless delivery and efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- liaise with internal departments to gather required shipping information
- communicate with customers and coordinate collections inline with FCA Incoterms
- prepare accurate shipping documentation (e.g. commercial invoices, shipping orders) in compliance with destination regulations
- ensure all imports and exports comply with HMRC and company policies
- adhere to international trade compliance procedures and regulations
- work with the Brokerage team to ensure correct customs regimes are applied
- coordinate with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to manage order flow and transportation
- support internal and external audits and inspections

Qualifications
- HND (or equivalent) in a relevant business‑related discipline
- IATA/IMDG/ADR Dangerous Goods certification
Experience
- Strong knowledge of import/export logistics and customs procedures
- Experience with international sea, air, and road freight operations
- Knowledge of shipping documentation (CIPL, BOL, AWB, CMR, MRN)
