Job Description Position Details
- Sunday – Thursday
- Night Shift – 3:00 pm Dispatch
- $225 daily pay
Position Purpose
As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations and turn them around to deliver full trailers with various products to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will drive a tandem trailer, tractor trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, operating in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the “Apply for this Job” box below).
You will communicate and interact with customers, vendors and co‑workers professionally, ensuring queries are answered accurately and promptly. You will function as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of truck and trailer per DOT regulations; assess whether they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action.
- Report all safety issues and/or required repairs.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report all safety hazards. Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Ensure all required route paperwork is available to the driver upon dispatch.
- Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
- Perform hook/unhook procedures according to safety guidelines.
- Park and store tractors in designated areas.
- Ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and secured.
- Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers, return them to base facility, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete a daily record of hours of service and enter it in a log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year or more of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL A with Doubles endorsement.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for past three years.
- Work required on a 3rd‑shift schedule, Sunday‑Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
- Pass pre‑employment drug test.
- Pass road test.
- Valid current DOT health card and/or ability to secure a new DOT health card.
- Ability to hand‑lift and use two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and stack product cases/freight ranging from approximately 60 to 90 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two‑trailer driving experience with doubles endorsement.
