Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Dar es-Salaam. The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to designated locations, maintaining compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Tasks include conducting vehicle inspections, performing basic maintenance, securing cargo, and managing loading and unloading activities. The driver will also ensure accurate delivery documentation and support logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A license
- Proven experience in truck driving, with the ability to safely operate heavy-duty trucks
- Understanding and compliance with DOT regulations
- Proficient in loading, unloading, and securing various types of cargo
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery and vehicle inspection documentation
- Good communication skills and professionalism when interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently and adhere to delivery schedules
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in long-haul driving or logistics is a plus
