As a vital part of the Salvation Army team, you will operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and vans. This job encompasses loading and unloading supplies, vehicle inspections, and effective communication with ministry units and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain 3-ton and 5-ton trucks and vans
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain logs
• Load/unload supplies in compliance with regulations
• Maintain a clean and presentable work environment
• Train new drivers and assist in emergency procedures
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of safe driving experience
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract
• Forklift operator’s certificate may be needed
• Strong communication and organization skills
