- The cooler and freezer environments can range from 36 °F (2 °C) to –10 °F (–23 °C). Freezer jackets are provided. You are required to work in the cooler/freezer area for the entire shift.
Position Purpose
Warehouse associates are the foundation of our company’s success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Forklift Operator, you will operate material‑handling equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck. Your work includes transporting inbound freight to inventory from staging areas for storage on the multi‑level racks in the assigned warehouse area and replenishing/restocking pick slots in a timely manner, ensuring all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards are met and maintaining the efficient flow of the production process.
You will function as a team member within the department and organization and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities
- Locate the proper slot on storage racks, set pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items, and enter product data and location into the appropriate unit. Locate and perform a count check of incoming freight in the staging area and transport it to the freezer with a forklift/pallet jack.
- Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to the next day’s work orders. Rotate date‑sensitive stock to the front of the rack and/or remove outdated inventory according to company policy.
- Disperse over‑stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
- Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
- Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack, and move pallets with a pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.
- Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
- Ensure the work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Review the work schedule, perform a safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work, and prepare for operations.
- Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
- Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
- Work from receiving sheets, computer print‑outs, established procedures and practices, and written and/or verbal instructions. Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take appropriate action as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area as needed.
- Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, and complete the vehicle inspection checklist.
- Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 6 + months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience with stand‑up reach truck experience.
- Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
- Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves as well as replenish product from various heights weighing between 10–35 lb and generally up to approximately 60–90 lb, depending on the location, throughout the shift.
- Able to work in multi‑temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
- Pass a post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 1 + year of warehouse and/or distribution work experience using a motorized pallet jack or forklift.
- Food service distribution or related industry experience.
- Motorized pallet jack and/or forklift certified.
