Job purpose: To carry out transportation tasks between the company’s sites efficiently, accurately, and safely.
- Implement cost-efficient transportation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal corporate policies.
- Inspect the work area according to tasks, work equipment, and safety regulations as well as Johnson Controls’ rules.
- Carry out inter-site transportation tasks.
- Issue freight bills and delivery notes.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Drive and operate the vehicle(s).
- Perform daily maintenance on the vehicles required for the job.
- Monitor the condition of the vehicle(s) and report maintenance needs in a timely manner.
- Maintain the documentation related to the work.
- Execute the instructions of the direct supervisor and group leader.
- Comply with road traffic rules; follow regulations related to cargo transport and, when handling hazardous goods, apply the corresponding regulations.
- Ensure accident prevention and safety measures during transportation.
- Ensure information flow to guarantee the smooth execution of inter-site transport tasks.
- Participate in internal training programs.
